Booking data
To process your booking we use your name, email address, optional phone number and booking details. Legal basis: performance of the contract. Invoices and booking records are kept for the statutory (tax) retention period of 7 years.
Cookieless measurement
Our basic site statistics are measured without cookies. We do not store your full IP address: the last part is dropped the moment we receive it (for example 203.0.113.0). From that shortened address and your browser type we create an encrypted code so we can count returning visitors; this code cannot be traced back to you as a person. To link a visit to a booking, we also use a second encrypted code that changes every day. We also store your device type, browser and operating system, your language, the country and the region or city (derived from the shortened address) and the pages you visit. No consent is required for this.
Analytics and external content (your consent)
Through the cookie banner you can enable two optional categories. Analytics: we then set an anonymous visitor cookie (ams_vid) and Google Analytics measures how you use the site. External media & maps: external content such as videos (YouTube, Vimeo) and Google Maps then loads; these providers may set their own cookies. Without your consent, neither loads. Your choice is stored in the ams_consent cookie (12 months) and can always be changed via "Cookie settings" at the bottom of the page.
Cookie after a booking
Only after you complete a booking do we set one first-party cookie (ams_cid, valid up to 13 months). It links your visits to your customer profile — for example to show your booking history and improve our service. The cookie contains only a random code, no personal data.
Your choices at checkout
At checkout you can tick three separate boxes: (1) receive offers and tips by email, (2) also receive your tickets and service via WhatsApp (only shown if you enter a phone number — messages then go through WhatsApp/Meta), and (3) allow your email address to be used in hashed (encrypted) form for relevant ads on platforms like Google or Meta. All three are OFF by default. We record when and where you gave consent, and you can withdraw it at any time via support@amsexperience.com or the unsubscribe link in every email.
Retention
Raw measurement data (page views, clicks) is kept for a maximum of 6 months; visit overviews (without a full IP address) for a maximum of 13 months; after that only aggregated daily figures remain. Customer profiles are kept for as long as you are a customer.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct and delete your data, to restrict or object to its processing, to receive the data you gave us in a portable format (data portability) and to withdraw your consent at any time (this does not affect what happened before the withdrawal). On request we fully anonymise your profile: name, email, phone and the link to measurement data are erased; only legally required accounting records remain. Send your request to support@amsexperience.com; we respond within one month. You can also file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
Sharing with third parties
We only share data with parties needed for your booking (ticket supplier, payment provider Mollie) and — solely with your consent — with Google (Analytics, and external content such as Maps and YouTube videos), with Vimeo (videos), with WhatsApp/Meta (only if you opt in to WhatsApp service) and with advertising platforms in hashed form. If you arrive via a partner website of the affiliate network Awin and accept marketing cookies, we share your booking number, the order value (in total and per product category) and the Awin click ID with Awin so that partner can be paid a commission. No name, e-mail address or IP address is shared. If you accept marketing cookies, we share your booking (hashed e-mail address, amount and product) with Meta (Facebook/Instagram) to measure whether our ads work. Without that consent we share nothing with Meta. We never sell data. We also use service providers that process personal data on our behalf (processors), such as hosting, email delivery, payments and an AI service that helps us sort and answer customer service messages. They may only use the data for these purposes and under our instructions. See "Processors" below.
Processors
To run our service we use these providers, who process data on our behalf and only for that task: Hetzner (hosting of our servers), Resend (sending our emails), Mollie (payments), PrioTicket and TourCMS (the booking connections through which your booking reaches the supplier of the experience) and Anthropic (an AI model that drafts replies to customer messages for our team: it processes your message, your name and email address and — if your message concerns a booking — the booking details needed to answer: booking number, status, visit date, tickets, the amount paid and the ticket link; never your payment details; a person always checks a reply before it is sent). To improve our answers, an AI service analyses the subject and the first part of customer messages from the last 90 days. We remove email addresses and phone numbers first, but a message can still contain other personal details you included yourself. Only when you choose or allow it: Google (signing in with Google; Analytics, Maps and YouTube after your consent), Vimeo (videos after your consent) and WhatsApp/Meta (service messages if you opt in).
Transfers outside the EEA
Some providers are established in the United States or may process data there: Google, Meta, Vimeo, Resend and Anthropic. These transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. TourCMS is established in the United Kingdom, which the European Commission regards as offering adequate protection.
Your account
Your customer account ("My booking") stays active for as long as you are a customer. You can delete it yourself at any time in "My booking" or ask us to delete it; we then anonymise your profile as described under Your rights. You can sign in with a code sent to your email or with Google; for Google sign-in we set a temporary cookie (ams_oauth) only during the sign-in.
Google Ads
With your consent we also use Google Ads to measure which of our ads lead to a booking and to show you relevant offers; without consent no advertising cookies are set.
